Conmaye Mexican Bar and Grill hosted a soft opening June 28 in Northwest Austin at 10700 Anderson Mill Road, Ste. 109, Austin. The new restaurant is the first dining room and full bar experience by Taconmaye owners Carlos and Angie Zuniga, and Daniel and Stephanie Delgado. Conmaye serves Taconmaye's al pastor and carne asada tacos, nachos, and birria as well as new items, such as seafood and plate options. The full bar features a large variety of tequilas and mezcals.

Grab a healthy meal on the go


Honest Mary's, a fast-casual dining concept, had a soft opening for its new location July 5 at 4701 183A Toll, Ste. B300, Cedar Park. The eatery provides healthy fast-food options, such as build-your-own grain bowls with freshly sourced and cooked bases, toppings, market sides and sauces. Signature bowls include the smoky poblano bowl and an aloha poke bowl.

Honest Mary's Cedar Park will host a grand opening celebration July 22 offering 20% off all bowls, face painting for children and samples of favorite menu items. Court Appointed Special Advocates of Williamson County, a volunteer advocacy group for abused children, will receive 20% of proceeds from the grand-opening celebration's food sales.

Discover New York-style bagels


Austin bagel shop Nervous Charlie's is expected to open Sept. 1 at 410 W. Whitestone Blvd., Cedar Park. Owners Chris Cunningham and Ali White opened Nervous Charlie's off North Lamar Boulevard in 2018 after moving to Austin from New York. The bagel shop is named after the couple's dog Charlie. The shop makes New York-inspired breakfast and lunch sandwiches, cream cheese, and bagels in-house using dough shipped from New York City. Popular menu items include the bacon, egg and cheese; or sausage, egg and cheese classic sandwich as well as the pastrami hash sandwich and the Longhorn Sandwich, Cunningham said.

Enjoy a gourmet hot dog

Gourmet hot dog restaurant Dog Haus is opening in Cedar Park later this fall at 3101 E. Whitestone Blvd., Unit. F, Cedar Park. The national chain is known for its all-beef hot dogs, handcrafted sausages and black Angus beef burgers served on King's Hawaiian rolls. All meat is hormone and antibiotic free. The restaurant also offers plant-based burgers, chicken and a full bar. Dog Haus first opened in 2010 in Pasadena, California. Today, the franchise has over 50 locations across the country.

Hit snooze for brunch

Snooze an A.M. Eatery is coming to Cedar Park in 2024 at 1915 E. Whitestone Blvd., Cedar Park. The modern breakfast spot offers an extensive menu from pancakes to Benedicts to tacos, lighter breakfast options and a cocktail menu. Snooze was founded in 2006 in Denver by brothers Jon and Adam Schlegel and is now a national chain with locations across the country. The company uses sustainably sourced ingredients and donates sales to local charities.
