WHAT WE REPORTED Two new locations of adults-only entertainment venue The Goodnight will open in the near future. One will open at 506 W. Sixth St., and the second will open by early 2017 on Manchaca Road across from Moontower Saloon.

THE LATEST Co-owner David Goodnight said the Manchaca location has been delayed but will feature 10 lanes for bowling as well as karaoke, food and drinks when it opens.

The business is adding some outdoor features and activities for patrons that are still hush-hush, Goodnight said, noting the business will bring “something unique to the city” to the 3-acre property.   

WHAT'S NEXT Permitting with the city is in progress for The Goodnight South, which has not set its official opening date yet but could end up opening in the first quarter of 2018 rather than in 2017, Goodnight said.

“Everything takes longer and longer with every hotel project that comes up,” he said. “We’re hoping for this year.”
