Taurus Academy has aimed to become the authority on dog training in Austin, Marketing and Community Manager Jessie Pascarelli said.

“We are always tweaking and refining to make sure we are the foremost experts in the field,” she said.

Owners William and Melanie McLeroy started the business out of their home in 1994 and now have five brick-and-mortar locations, Pascarelli said.

The business, formerly Taurus Training and Doggy Play Day, offers dog training, boarding and day care.

In May, Taurus Academy celebrated its 20th anniversary with a rebranding and new colorful murals at a few of its locations, including on McNeil Drive.

The business’s newest service is pet transportation to and from a client’s home.

“It’s been pretty popular amongst our current clients,” she said.
