The Peddler Bike Shop Owner AJ Camp said the shop expanded its offerings of children’s bicycles in 2014.[/caption] In 2014 owner AJ Camp said he had to expand The Peddler Bike Shop’s selection of children’s bikes because of high demand from the community. “I thought it would be more of an enthusiast [clientele], but I’m seeing a lot of families getting kid’s bikes,” he said. “It’s cool to sell a high-end road or a mountain bike, but I think it’s more exciting to see a little kid come in and say, ‘That’s the one I want.’” The shop sells bikes and accessories for cyclists of any skill level and offers maintenance and repair on any bicycle. Children’s bikes cost about $120 to $450, and adult models cost $300 to $1,000 or more, he said, and many come with a full year of service. “We try to steer people toward what bike would be the best for them,” Camp said. “People tell us what they plan to do, and we try to listen, bring [them] a good fit and hit a price point in their budget.”
