Bastrop city officials are partnering with Calvary Episcopal Church-Bastrop to open an overnight warming shelter this week as the freezing weather blows in.

The details

The warming shelter will be at the Parish Hall at 1028 Main St., Bastrop. It will be open:
  • Feb. 19, 7 p.m.-7 a.m.
  • Feb. 20, 7 p.m.-7 a.m.
“All are welcome for a safe, warm place to sleep and dinner and breakfast,” officials announced on their Facebook page.

What else?

Bastrop Public Information Officer Colin Guerra said officials with the Bastrop Fire Department and Bastrop Police Department will continue to check on at-risk residents during the upcoming freeze.
