Bastrop community members can spend their April celebrating Easter with egg hunts, attending a medieval faire with over 100 vendors and shows per day, and participating in spring fundraisers for local organizations. Event details are subject to change. This list is not comprehensive.

Sherwood Forest Faire

The medieval-style village faire will showcase over 150 shows per day including fire juggling, knife throwing, live music and more. Attendees can shop from over 170 artisans and merchants such as leatherworkers and potters.Easter in the Park

Bastrop Parks and Recreation will host the holiday event where attendees can watch a showing of “Rise of the Guardians” at dusk and enjoy easter egg hunts, bounce houses, vendors and appearances by Blue the Police Bear and Ms. Poppy the Clown.Goat Yoga

Main Street Yoga will host its annual goat yoga event where participants can stretch and play with baby goats. Participants should wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty and the session will end with an opportunity to feed larger animals with pre-prepared snacks.Spring Gala Fundraiser


Lost Pines Art Center will host its annual fundraiser featuring auctions, live music and raffles. Proceeds from the event will go toward funding programs including art shows, performances, art education and community events. Spring attire and hats are encouraged.

Springfest

Hosted by CASA of Bastrop, Lee and Fayette counties, and the Children's Advocacy Center, the event will feature a play zone, food trucks, games, music and a chance to meet first responders, professionals, educators and more. The nonprofit will host the event to help children get to know trusted adults in the community and teach attendees how to recognize and fight child abuse.

Easter Egg Hunt

Community members can enjoy the Easter holiday with an egg hunt, pictures with the Easter bunny, a bounce house, arts and crafts, music and food.Atash-In Concert

The Lost Pines Art Center will welcome the community to enjoy an evening of performance by Atash, a world music band which combines master musicians from across the world.

State of the County Breakfast


Community members can learn about Bastrop County’s growth and priorities over breakfast with commissioners Butch Carmack, Clara Beckett, Mark Meuth and David Glass. Bastrop County Judge Gregory Klaus will be in attendance to answer questions alongside county commissioners.'A Gentleman’s Guide To Love and Murder'

Directed by Doug Degirolamo, the musical tells the story of Monty Navarro and his ghoulish journey to become the ninth Earl of Highhurst by knocking off his relatives and predecessors. The musical is based on the novel "Israel Rank" by Roy Horniman.
