Bastrop ISD is making strong progress on new campuses and renovations to existing buildings set to be open to students this fall.

A May 13 update from Lee Raspberry, BISD's director of construction and planning, shows the totally new Adelton Elementary School, and restructured Creekside Middle School and Riverside Middle School are on track to open for the 2025-26 school year in August.

Cedar Creek High School addition construction progressing on schedule, BISD administrator says
A 30,500-square-foot expansion to Cedar Creek High School is about 40% complete, Bastrop ISD administrators shared in May.
About the project
The expansion to the high school is planned to bring additional academic space for classrooms.
Raspberry said construction crews had completed structural steel work and roofing for the expansion, as well as the stud framing for the first floor and decking for the second floor.

Bastrop, Cedar Creek Middle School conversions progressing on schedule
Conversions of both Bastrop and Cedar Creek Intermediate School campuses to middle schools is tracking on schedule, Bastrop ISD administrators shared in May.
What you need to know
Projects to add 21,000-square-foot additions to the two schools were about 30% of the way to completion, said Lee Raspberry, BISD's director of planning and construction, in a May 13 bond construction update.
Renovations will be complete around the middle of the 2025-26 school year, Raspberry said, with students moving into those expanded spaces after the winter holidays.
