A 30,500-square-foot expansion to Cedar Creek High School is about 40% complete, Bastrop ISD administrators shared in May.
About the project
The expansion to the high school is planned to bring additional academic space for classrooms.
Lee Raspberry, BISD's director of planning and construction, said construction crews had completed structural steel work and roofing for the expansion, as well as the stud framing for the first floor and decking for the second floor.
The skyway connecting the expansion to the main campus is also complete, Raspberry said.

Campus renovations to CCHS were part of bond initiatives passed in 2021 and 2023 to address local growth in the student population, and make critical system upgrades and replacements. These were the first bond initiatives to be passed by voters in BISD since 2007, as previously reported by Community Impact.
