The first three Bastrop ISD students hired by aerospace, defense and transportation technology company Acutronic through an apprenticeship partnership will be recognized at a celebration May 2.

What they offer

Part of the district’s Pathways in Technology Early College High School, or P-Tech program, the partnership provides students the opportunity to gain real-world experience, where they can learn alongside a dedicated Acutronic Journeyman Technician, earn certifications and accumulate 2,000 on-the-job training hours.

Those interested in learning more about the program can reach out on the district's website here.

What else?

Other students in the Acutronic Apprenticeship Alliance, or A3, will be recognized during the celebration, including sophomores recommitting to the program and a new group of freshmen, officials said in a news release.
