Local Mikayla Cannaday opened her first spa in Bastrop inside The BelkBeauty Bar to share her skills with her hometown. Skin Rite Spa provides a range of services including facials, tinting, waxing, massages and more.

The owners of Anita’s Mexican Restaurant opened a new Tex-Mex eatery inside the historic Vasek Garage in Smithville. Quinto Patio uses freshly made tortillas to accent its all-day breakfast options, tacos, enchiladas and plates. The restaurant also has a full bar, indoor/outdoor seating and live music.
