Randalls breaks ground March 23


City officials broke ground on the 57,655-square-foot Randalls store at the Oaks Meadows Marketplace near Jim Hogg Road and Williams Drive on March 23.


The store will feature a Starbucks; a pharmacy drive-thru; a deli with a seating area, hamburgers, freshly prepared sushi, made-to-order pizzas and to-go orders; a floral department; and a wine and beer selection. The new Randalls will also have a gas station and convenience store.


The company said it expects to hire about 165 full-time and part-time employees.



Dancing with the Ambassadors


Ten local business leaders who serve as ambassadors for the chamber were paired together and taught different dance routines to perform for an audience and judging officials at Arthur Murray Dance Center of Georgetown.



Suits for Soldiers


The Georgetown Farmers Insurance office hosted a suit-distribution event at Fort Hood on March 23 as part of the company’s nationwide Suits for Soldiers campaign.
