The Allen ISD Eagle Run, hosted by the Foundation for Allen Schools, is returning for its 18th year.
What you need to know
The annual event will be held March 7 at Allen ISD’s Eagle Stadium, located at 155 Rivercrest Blvd. Proceeds from the event help fund educational classroom grants, student scholarships, programs and campus projects through the foundation and the Allen ISD PTA Council.
Participants can register to run in one of two race options: a fun run measuring a little over a mile or the 5K race. The races will be staggered, with the fun run scheduled to start at 8 a.m. followed by the 5K at 8:40 a.m., according to the event website.
Registration is currently open for both runs and are priced at $35. Prices will increase to $45 after March 5. Participants can also register for a "sleep-in" entry or a virtual race entry. The sleep-in entry allows individuals to support the event without participating in the race, according to the event website.

Foundation Director Regina Taylor said both routes will start and end in the east-side parking lot of Eagle Stadium. The 5K course is certified by USA Track and Field, she said.
“Runners tend to like our course because it’s certified and it’s really flat,” Taylor said. “They don’t have to go up the hills or anything that tends to slow them down a little bit.”
The race averages about 3,000 participants each year, Taylor said. The race sees a lot of families and serious runners participating, she said. In 2025, more than 3,000 participants signed up to race and more than $155,000 was raised, according to data from the foundation.
“Allen is a very supportive community and has always given education a place of priority,” Taylor said. “The city of Allen, Allen ISD, the business community and parents—we’ve always worked together really well, and the Eagle Run is just one really good example of people doing that.”
