Candidates begin filing for Allen ISD board races ahead of May election

Two candidates have filed to run for seats on the Allen ISD board of trustees in the May election since the filing period opened Jan. 14.

Two seats on the board are up for election in May:

• Allen ISD board of trustees, Place 6
• Allen ISD board of trustees, Place 7

Board President Polly Montgomery, who currently serves in Place 6, has filed to run for reelection to the same seat, according to Allen ISD’s website. Board Vice President Bill Parker, who sits in Place 7, has also filed to run for reelection in the same seat.

Candidates for the board are elected at-large to serve for three-year terms, according to Allen ISD’s website. Places 6 and 7 were last up for election in 2023.
