Local nonprofit Community Assistance Center has been recognized as an EnVision Center by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, according to a Dec. 9 news release by the department.
According to the program’s website, EnVision Centers are resource organizations recognized by the department for promoting economic empowerment, educational advancement, health and wellness, and character and leadership.
The Community Assistance Center, located at 1022 McCall Ave., Conroe, offers essential services including disaster relief, clothing and a food pantry to Montgomery County residents in need.
“Our organization works tirelessly to promote self-sufficiency and improve the lives of our Montgomery County neighbors by providing services, guidance and resources critical to the pillars of the EnVision Center program,” said organization Executive Director Jennifer Landers in a statement.
