The city of Tomball announced on its
website and Facebook page Tuesday morning that all non-essential city functions close at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to inclement weather. The city is expected to resume all city functions at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17.
According to the Tomball Fire Department and the Tomball Police Department, portions of Tomball roadways were beginning to ice over Tuesday morning.
School and county offices are also closed Tuesday. As of 10 a.m. Tuesday, a number of entities announced closures:
- Montgomery County offices are closed
Elections office remains open.
- City of Tomball
City operations are expected to resume Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m.
- Tomball ISD
All school activities are cancelled.
- Magnolia ISD
Board of trustees meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening is cancelled.
- Lone Star College campuses
All campuses are closed today.
