Annual Inspire Film Festival event, Feb. 14-18, features ‘game changers’

More than 25 feature-length and short films from local and international filmmakers will be showcased during the third annual Inspire Film Festival, Feb. 14-18.

Spearheaded by The Woodlands resident Jane Minarovic, the inaugural Inspire Film Festival was held in February 2016 focusing on movies that celebrate the triumph of the human spirit.

“[The new theme] ‘Game Changers’ literally just popped into my head as I was planning last year’s program,” Minarovic said.

This year the five-day festival will kick off in The Woodlands Waterway with a community screening of short films followed by a VIP party featuring a multimedia fashion show. In addition to film screenings, the festival will also include accompanying live entertainment and panel discussions.

“The biggest difference this year is the addition of the 200-seat theater and the huge hospitality tent in front of the [Cynthia Woods Mitchell] Pavilion gates that will serve as a place for people to grab a bite from the food trucks outside, talk about the films and catch a panel discussion,” Minarovic said.
