The Woodlands Township conducts invasive vine removal operations on Woodlands Parkway

In a March 4 news release, The Woodlands Township announced work to remove invasive vines along Woodlands Parkway as part of the township's reforestation effort.

Reforestation efforts are underway by The Woodlands Township along Woodlands Parkway between Carlton Woods Drive and Stoneyhurst Drive following the removal of invasive vines in the area, according to a news release.

According to the release, the township regularly conducts 120 days of invasive vine removal and reforestation work in January-March and another 120 days in October-December to avoid disturbing healthy trees during spring and summer.

The release said 15 native species trees would be replanted between Carlton Woods Drive and Stoneyhurst Drive to replace the lost foliage.
