Shenandoah City Council members approved the annexation of a portion of city land to be used for a proposed rainwater drainage system at the May 22 meeting.
In a nutshell
Council previously adopted a resolution at the May 8 meeting to allow a public hearing regarding the annexation of two different locations listed under the Montgomery Central Appraisal District.
Prior to the decision, council held a public hearing where Wes Stevens, a member of the city's planning and zoning commission, was the only person who spoke about the ordinance.
