With all city of Shenandoah precincts reporting in Montgomery County, incumbent Council Member Ted Fletcher has retained his Position 2 seat in the May 6 election.
Fletcher received 209, or 55.15% of the total votes cast, and David Teague received 170, or 44.85% of the vote. In addition to the contested race, Jim Pollard received 301 votes for Position 3 and Charlie Bradt received 300 votes for Position 4 in two uncontested races in the city.
“It’s such an honor and privilege to be selected by our neighbors and to have the opportunity to serve as our councilman again,” Fletcher said in a phone interview after the unofficial results were posted on the Montgomery County Elections website. "I'm looking forward to what the future has and looking forward to bringing the mobility projects and infrastructure that the city needs ... and to be able to move forward and create a stronger and better community."
