Filing for four positions on The Woodlands Township board of directors opens July 18 for the Nov. 3 election.
Filing will close 5 p.m. Aug. 17, and the deadline for filing a declaration for a write-in candidate is 5 p.m. Aug. 21.
What to know
The four at-large positions on the township board are for Positions 1, 2, 3 and 4. The positions are currently held by Brad Bailey, Linda Nelson, Richard Franks and Craig Eissler, respectively. Bailey announced last year his candidacy for Texas House District 15.
The four positions are each for a two-year term. The positions are volunteer roles and are not compensated, according to information from the township.

- Deliver the application in person on regular business days between 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Filing packets and other information are available at the township building. The township expects to contract with Harris and Montgomery counties to conduct the election, according to a news release.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 18 years of age as of Nov. 3, 2026
- Resident of The Woodlands Township for past six months
- Resident of Texas for past 12 months
- U.S. citizen

- Oct. 5: Last day to register to vote
- Oct. 19: First day of early voting
- Oct. 30: Last day of early voting
