A Nov. 4 Texas Academy of Dance Arts news release announced the 10th anniversary of its annual performance of "The Nutcracker," taking place this year on Dec. 7-8 at 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. both days.
"It has been a truly remarkable journey to watch this production grow and evolve over the past decade,” TADA Executive Director Jessica Norwood said. “Seeing our dancers, families, and faculty come together to uphold this cherished holiday tradition is nothing short of inspiring.”
Texas Academy of Dance Arts was established in 2014 with 75 students enrolled, and it has grown to be one of the largest dance studios in The Woodlands and Spring area, according to the news release.
"The Nutcracker" is a storytelling ballet centered on the E.T.A. Hoffman original 1816 story about a girl named Clara who receives a wooden Nutcracker that comes to life as a prince on Christmas Eve.
