Why are you running for Fort Bend County district attorney?
I’m running because Fort Bend County is my home, and it deserves strong, principled leadership with integrity. With over 20 years of experience as a prosecutor, defense attorney and judge, I’m prepared to protect families, support victims, and restore trust in our justice system.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
I am board certified in criminal law with more than 20 years of courtroom experience. I’ve handled thousands of criminal cases and first-chaired nearly 100 jury trials. As a former felony prosecutor, defense attorney and municipal court judge, I bring proven leadership and well-rounded experience to this role.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
My top priorities are aggressively prosecuting violent criminals, protecting victims and standing alongside law enforcement to keep our community safe. I will also reduce case backlogs and improve efficiency, so cases move swiftly and fairly, restoring confidence in a justice system that is accountable, transparent and effective.
What should the county's budgeting priorities be?
The county’s budget should prioritize public safety, efficient courts and strong victim services. Investing in law enforcement, prosecutors and modern technology ensures our justice system keeps pace with Fort Bend County’s growth. We must protect taxpayers while using resources wisely, strategically and with full accountability.
How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth as the county nears one million residents?
As Fort Bend grows, I will prioritize strategically increasing staffing, modernizing technology, and fostering partnerships with law enforcement. By planning ahead and improving efficiency now, we can ensure our justice system remains responsive, fair and capable of handling cases swiftly to meet the demands of a larger, more diverse population.

Return integrity to the DA's Office. Foster public safety by enforcing the law consistently and fairly.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
Seasoned trial attorney with comprehensive experience in criminal law and civil litigation. Board certified in criminal law since 1995. AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbel (peer review for ethics and excellence).
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
Expedite the intake process and filing of charges into court. Deliver accountability to victims, law enforcement and the community. Uphold ethical duties for prosecuting attorneys.
What should the county's budgeting priorities be?
Pay competitive salaries to attract and retain qualified prosecutors. Invest in technology to process filing of criminal criminal charges more efficiently.
How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth as the county nears one million residents?
Manage growth in relation to staffing needs in proportion to judicial expansion.
