Fort Bend County Judge KP George will kick off the first in a series of countywide resource tours Aug. 13.

County resources on hand will include various agencies and organizations providing services and activities to residents.

“I am so excited to bring this community-oriented event to Fort Bend County, especially right before the beginning of the school year,” George said in a statement. “I want to make sure that as many people … have the opportunity to take advantage of the services provided by our county agencies and nonprofit partners.”

The event, free and open to the public, will take place from 6-8:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 514 Carlisle St., Rosenberg.

In addition, there will be giveaways, voter registration, free back-to-school vaccinations—parents must bring immunization records—property tax help, immigration legal advice, passport pictures and applications, children’s back-to-school haircuts, blood pressure screenings, dental/oral health screenings, library card registration, information about county jobs, Hurricane Harvey homeowner assistance and activities for children.
