J. Wedemeier Jewelers is now open in Sugar Land’s University Commons shopping center, an official with developer Vista Equities Group said.
The family-owned jewelry store offers fine jewelry, permanent jewelry services and repair, owner Catherine Wedemeier said previously.
The details
The store, formerly known as Elegant Jewelers, opened in Phase II of the University Commons shopping center from the First Colony Mall.
Catherine Wedemeier said she and her husband relocated and reopened the store after his parents—Patty and Frank Wedemeier, the former owners of Elegant Jewelers—retired from the jewelry business in February after 40 years.

Catherine Wedemeier said all services will be done in-house instead of outsourced.
