Hot Yoga Sugar Land owner Alanna Partin recalls an injury—a stress fracture following a fitness competition—that had her stepping on a yoga mat for the first time.
“I was trying to fix my broken body, and it was something I could do pain-free,” Partin said. “It was during that time that I realized how much I loved it. It helped me train my body for its rest and repair.”
While living in Calgary, Canada, she began working for an oilfield services company, managing its injury prevention program.
Traveling to the company’s sites in the United States, she would often come to the company’s headquarters in Sugar Land and attend yoga classes at the studio she ended up purchasing and naming Hot Yoga Sugar Land.
