5. Hufsmith-Kohrville Road improvements segments 2, 3 and 4

The project between Hollow Glen Lane and Mahaffey Road is in the study phase and includes upgrading the road as a four-lane concrete pavement section with appropriate traffic signals or traffic signal modifications. The engineering study will establish alignment, drainage mitigation needs and environmental assessments. Funding is provided by the approval of the 2015 road and bridge bond referendum. 6. Hwy. 249 tollway extension

The extension will stretch the existing toll lanes north of the bypass to the Harris County line at Spring Creek and connect to the Montgomery County portion of the tollway. The project is in Phase 2 and is in its final design. Construction from FM 2920 to the Spring Creek bridge will begin in January. 7. Improvements at Hufsmith-Kohrville and Holderrieth roads improvements

Planned improvements include the installation of a traffic signal and left turn lanes. This is a joint participation project between Harris County and the Tomball Economic Development Corp. The project is in the design phase. When project development is completed, it will be published for bidding purposes. 8. Kuykendahl Road bridge

The design for a bridge on Kuykendahl Road to go over Spring Creek is completed and waiting environmental approval. Harris and Montgomery counties and the Woodlands Road Utility District have approved the joint construction agreement. WRUD will manage the construction project on behalf of both counties, which are funding the project. WRUD funded the design. When environmental approval is completed, WRUD will request bids. 9. TC Jester Boulevard signal improvements

Engineering has been completed to warrant the installation of 10 traffic signal systems on TC Jester Boulevard between FM 1960 and FM 2920. The project is in the construction phase. Several intersections are pending signal installation, including Winding Ridge, Pinelakes Boulevard and Spring Creek Oaks.
