Construction on the Houston Methodist hospital system’s largest outpatient care center is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2025 in Spring, hospital leaders estimate.
The big picture
The Houston Methodist mega care center—expected to be completed at the end of 2026—will offer comprehensive care with a “heavy presence” of orthopedics and sports medicine, said Nathan Jacobs, the vice president of operations at Houston Methodist Physician Organization. To be located at the northeast corner of the Kuykendahl Road and Grand Parkway intersection, the center is expected to serve between 600-700 patients per day across all services.
“One of our major initiatives is to provide better access to care for the community, putting these outpatient centers out in the community, so that there's more Houston Methodist facilities nearer to the consumer,” said Keith Barber, CEO at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital.
