Harris County Commissioners will meet July 30 after a week of budget hearings to discuss moving forward on a number of road and flood mitigation projects.
The breakdown
According to agenda documents, commissioners will go over 228 items, including hearing financial reports from five Harris County Emergency Services Districts. This comes as commissioners wrapped up a week-long budget workshop on July 16 and are set to further discuss and move forward on the fiscal year 2026-27 budget at the Aug. 6 scheduled meeting.
Commissioners will also discuss next steps and approve moving forward on several flood control and transportation projects across the county including:
- North Eldridge Parkway widening
- Meyergrove Stormwater Detention Basin, Phase 2
- Lakeshore subdivision improvements
- Halls Bayou Channel Conveyance improvements, Phase 2
