After being open almost two years in Spring, The Wacked Out Weiner closed its doors, the owner of the hot dog restaurant confirmed May 1.

The details

Officials cited high rent, insurance and food costs as reasons for closing the location, adding that it was difficult to survive in the area as a small business.

The Wacked Out Weiner still operates out of a food truck in College Station and locations in Alabama and Florida. The owner said catering services are still available in the Houston area.

The hot dog restaurant served Nathan’s original all-beef hot dogs along with grilled sausage, loaded nachos, milkshakes and orange creamsicles, among other menu items.
