Evolution is in full swing at The Parks at Wilson Creek. The Celina master-planned community has officially debuted 429 new homesites to its sprawling landscape.
While the community is growing to meet the needs of a booming region, its heart remains unchanged: lakes, preserved creeks and open green spaces still lead the design.
With a massive 100-acre park on the horizon and improved access to the surrounding area, The Parks at Wilson Creek isn’t just adding houses; it’s building a legacy.
New homesites highlight water and creek views
Phase 2 offers a mix of 40-, 50-, 60- and 74-foot wide homesites, introducing a range of options while preserving views of nearby lakes and creek corridors.
“The uniqueness of this most recent phase is the fact that so many of the lots either have a water view, creek view or are adjacent to open space,” said Matt Alexander, Chief Visionary and Marketing Officer at Cambridge Companies.
The benefits of each homesite include:
- 40-foot (Highland Homes and Perry Homes): multiple lakefront options, with outdoor games, seating, trails and open space.
- 50-foot (David Weekley Homes and Highland Homes): both creekside lots and lakeside lots are available.
- 60-foot (Tradition Homes and Perry Homes): buyers can choose either a view of the creek or a view of the lake.
- 74-foot (Highland Homes and Tradition Homes): a brand new offering; these provide larger yards and homes, and many are creekside lots. Highland Homes and Tradition Homes are introducing new models this spring to showcase this option.
Alexander said Phase 3 will introduce new lots with Perry Homes’ most popular products across Texas this fall. After that, Phase 4 will bring zero-lot-line patio homes designed for residents aged 55 and older.
A connected community
The city of Celina is currently developing Wilson Creek Park, a 100-acre public space located directly within The Parks at Wilson Creek.
Phase 1 broke ground in the fall of 2025 and is slated to open later this year. Upon completion, the park will bring sports fields, a splash pad, a dog park, an amphitheater for local events and much more to the community.
“I think it’s going to be a huge resource and asset to the community that everybody gets to enjoy,” Alexander said.
This focus on accessibility extends to education and recreation.
Vasquez Elementary School opened its doors within the community in the fall of 2025, allowing students to walk or bike to class. Next year, construction on the primary amenity center is expected to begin. It will feature a fitness facility, pools, sports courts, social spaces designed to host community programming and more.
To tie it all together, developers are installing a 12-foot-wide trail system that links homes directly to the school, the park and the future primary amenity center.
Infrastructure and future growth
As Celina continues to grow, roadway improvements are making the community easier to access from across North Texas.
Recent connections now link the community to major corridors such as the Dallas North Tollway and Hwy. 75. This places residents within convenient reach of employment centers, retail destinations and restaurants.
When complete, The Parks at Wilson Creek is expected to include approximately 2,400 homes, along with additional amenities and trails designed to bring neighbors together.
