The restaurant builds on the success of its Pflugerville debut earlier this year and is part of a broader expansion, with nine additional stores planned for the Greater Austin area.
Known for freshly made chicken salad in a variety of flavors, the brand is quickly winning fans for its food, hospitality and community spirit.
“Chicken Salad Chick has an incredible story. It was started by Stacy Brown when she was making chicken salad out of her kitchen,” Franchise Owner Troy Morrison said. “We now have 308 stores nationally in 23 states.”
What’s on the menu?
The heart of the menu is chicken salad, always made fresh in-store using tender cuts of chicken and seasoning. Guests can choose from 12 flavors, ranging from classic to spicy and savory.
In addition to chicken salad, the menu features fresh side salads, gourmet soups, signature sandwiches and a growing dessert selection.
Fan favorites include:
- Classic Carol: the signature traditional recipe
- Olivia’s Old South: made with eggs and pickles for a nostalgic flavor
- Sassy Scotty: cheesy, bacony and ranch-infused
- Jalapeño Holly: bold and spicy
- Buffalo Barclay: tangy with a hot wing kick
- Barbecue and Seasonal Varieties: including the Southwest Señorita, a Texas-inspired favorite with poblano peppers, corn and cheddar cheese

The restaurant also has vegetarian options, including different flavors of pimento cheese dips with crackers.
The dessert menu is expanding. Following the success of its White Chocolate Layer Cake, the brand recently introduced a Red Velvet Cake—three layers of moist cake with cream cheese frosting—available by the slice or as a whole cake for pre-order.
Quick Chicks: fresh, shareable, convenient
For guests on the go, Quick Chicks make it easy to enjoy their favorite flavors at home, the office or a gathering. Freshly packaged daily, these tubs of chicken salad come in shareable sizes: the large size serves four, and the small size serves two.
The Family Meal
Chicken Salad Chick also offers a complete bundle with its Family Meal ($49.99), which includes:
- Two large Quick Chicks (choice of flavors)
- One large fresh side or six bags of chips
- Six croissants
- Six small cookies
- 1 gallon of tea or lemonade

Beyond everyday dining, Chicken Salad Chick has built a reputation for catering to groups of all sizes—from school delivery programs to office luncheons to weddings and more.
“This brand delivers very well,” Morrison said. “The quality of the product will blow your mind.”
Catering menus feature:
- Croissant sandwiches and box lunches
- Signature sides, such as broccoli salad, pasta salad and grape salad
- Soups like tortilla and potato, perfect for cooler months
- Desserts, including cookies, white chocolate cake and red velvet cake

Community support
Grand openings at Chicken Salad Chick are more than a ribbon-cutting; they’re celebrations.
At the opening of the Austin location the first 100 people in line received free chicken salad for a year, and the excitement started the night before, with guests camping out to secure a spot.
Just as important as the festivities is the company’s focus on giving back. Nationally, Chicken Salad Chick partners with CURE Childhood Cancer through the Chicken Salad Chick Foundation, while locally, the Austin-area stores have teamed up with Big Love Cancer Care, raising $2,000 at their Austin ribbon-cutting. As part of September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the restaurant also donated proceeds from sales of its Lemon Burst Buttercream Cookies to the cause.
The team continues to look for ways to serve its neighbors, from school deliveries to office luncheons and fundraising events. Most recently, they catered an event for a Pflugerville school on September 18.
“We want to spread joy, enrich lives and create opportunities for other people,” Morrison said.
Park added that community connections are at the heart of every new opening.
“It’s a great way for us to connect with the community and get to know everyone. We’re always open to partnering with the local community to give back,” Park said.
With more stores planned for the Austin area, the company sees its role as more than just a place to eat. It’s about serving neighbors, whether through catering, fundraising or customer appreciation events.
“It’s definitely worth a trip to do something a little different,” Morrison said. “It’s great quality food made fresh on site.”
