Hope and healing at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–Frisco at PGA Parkway

From the moment patients walk through the doors of Baylor Scott & White Health’s new medical center at the corner of Dallas North Tollway and PGA Parkway, they encounter a team that radiates a passion for healing and service.

The milestones came quickly after opening in late July: A mother welcomed the first set of twins to be born in the hospital. A patient is now moving better following knee replacement surgery. Another patient decided to take charge of her health after decades of pain—she is now thriving after a successful abdominal surgery.

These moments were all made possible for patients by the team members who approach each interaction with purpose and clinical excellence.

“We’ve been preparing for a long time, and caring for our first patients was deeply meaningful,” said Eric Beshires, MD, chief medical officer at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–Frisco at PGA Parkway. “To see our teams in action, delivering high-quality care with compassion and precision, is incredibly rewarding.”

Patients are cared for by teams specializing in a variety of clinical areas: lung care, heart and vascular care, spine care, and more. Teams address patients’ urologic and gynecologic care needs as well as conditions that affect the digestive system.

“It’s an incredible feeling to see our team members doing what they love, caring for patients, supporting families and working together with purpose,” said Christin Timmons, MSN, RN, chief nursing officer at the medical center. “Now that our doors are open, we’re not just providing care, we’re creating a healing environment where people feel seen, safe and supported.”

Baylor Scott & White’s Mission—to promote the well-being of all individuals, families and communities—is evident in every detail of the campus, from the calming design of patient rooms and the advanced technology supporting clinical excellence to the bluebonnet sculptures lining paths along the campus and music wall located in the main lobby.

Convenient, personalized and informed experiences

Over the past year, the health system has launched dozens of new customer solutions through its award-winning digital platform—MyBSWHealth—to empower those it serves with more care options and greater support.

New offerings include virtual-first access to headache care, muscle and joint care, and maternity care, as well as after-hospital and recovery programs that support patients and their loved ones following heart surgery, joint replacement surgery and other procedures.

The Women and Infants Center is a signature experience for women and families. With a private entrance and dedicated floor for women’s health, the care team at the Women and Infants Center is committed to offering personalized, family-centered care from before arrival through departure and beyond.

“Our vision for the Center for Women and Infants is simple,” Dr. Beshires said. “We want to empower women and families through every phase of life. With serene, private labor and delivery suites, experienced OB-GYN teams, and specialized support for moms and newborns, patients can expect advanced care that honors both clinical excellence and emotional support.”

The early success of the hospital is more than a series of procedures or patient visits; it’s the beginning of an enduring commitment to the people it serves. Designed to meet the needs of Texans today and in the future, the medical center will provide important health care infrastructure for a region that continues to experience record growth.

“We are honored to be part of our neighbors’ lives—caring for our community is a responsibility that we take very seriously,” said Ryan Gebhart, president of the medical center. “This hospital is not just here for today, it’s here for every stage of life, for every person who walks through our doors, and we’re just getting started.”

As the hospital continues to expand its services and deepen its community collaborations, the future looks bright. With a dedicated team, a clear vision and a commitment to excellence, this new medical center is a destination for health and wellness in North Texas.
