Rock Fest has long been a cherished tradition, held every year around August 8th, the date officially recognized as Nature’s Treasures Day by the Austin City Council and Mayor Lee Leffingwell in 2014. This year, August 8th falls on a Friday for the first time since 2014 giving the event added significance as it honors three major milestones in the store’s journey.
“This space has been a long time in the making, and we’re so excited to finally share it,” General Manager Michael Kallstrom said. “Whether you’ve been with us for years or are just discovering us now, this weekend is a celebration of everyone who’s made Nature’s Treasures what it is.”

Whether a longtime crystal collector or just starting to explore the world of rocks and minerals, Rock Fest promises something for everyone. This free, family-friendly event will span the weekend of August 8th through 10th, offering a packed schedule of activities, education and celebration.

Nature’s Treasures also hopes the new site will become a hub for collaboration with local businesses, artists and wellness practitioners. Plans are in the works to host local furniture and plant vendors, showcase rotating art installations and offer space for community events.
“It’s about more than selling stones,” Kallstrom said. “It’s about creating a space where people feel connected to each other, nature and something greater.”
