With a focus on personal service and community connection, NDBT’s expansion aims to bring more than just banking to the neighborhood.
“We want to be the best moment of our customers’ days,” CEO Larry Miller said. “We can’t always know what’s going on in their lives outside of NDBT, but we want to do everything we can to make sure they have an excellent experience while they’re here.”
Coming soon
The new location, appropriately named Fields Legacy, will be located at Fields Parkway and Legacy Drive, and is projected to open by the fall of 2026. Unlike traditional bank branches, the 51,000 square-foot building will include 11,000 square feet of dedicated banking space and 27,000 square feet of office space, alongside ample green space, community areas and outdoor installations designed to celebrate the legacy of longtime residents the Fields family.
The space will feature art installations, such as sculptures of cowboys and cattle representing the Fields family ranch, as well as restored relics like an original oil field truck.
“This facility is going to be unique with its ability to bring the community together,” Miller said.

Community care
While NDBT’s history dates back to 1961, the Frisco Fields expansion represents its ongoing evolution as a locally focused community bank. Today, the bank operates five locations across the region and maintains a commitment to what its team calls “authentic intelligence”—prioritizing the value of human connection as a complement to technology and automation.
That approach is deeply embedded in the bank’s service model and in its NDBT Cares platform, a community engagement initiative launched in 2019. The platform empowers departments within the bank to partner with local nonprofits they’re passionate about, and staff are encouraged to volunteer during the workweek.
“We found that when it's employee-led, there's an ownership that is different than if the bank led it,” Miller said. “We're fully expecting to be engaged in the Fields development as a local community partner. When our team gets established in that banking center, they'll have the opportunity to go out and engage the community.”
NDBT leaders have begun forming connections within the Frisco Fields area, including collaborations with nearby businesses, new developments and the recently opened Baylor Scott & White hospital.
