When searching for a new home in Georgetown, the Bennetts weren’t just looking for square footage or new appliances; they were looking for heart. At Parmer Ranch, they found exactly that.

The first thing that drew homeowner and realtor Rachel Bennett to the community was the sprawling oak trees.

“Most new construction neighborhoods level everything out [before they] start building houses,” Bennett said. “When we found this neighborhood, and saw that they saved all of these huge, 100-year-old trees, we said, ‘This is it. This is the place we've been looking for.’”

A daily sense of belonging

Since moving in nearly two years ago, the family has found themselves immersed in more than just scenic beauty. They’ve found community.

Familiar faces and everyday interactions shape the rhythm of life at Parmer Ranch. Whether at the park, the gym or the pool, Bennett says it’s common to run into neighbors and strike up conversations.

“It doesn't just feel like we're passing by strangers constantly,” Bennett said. “I'm living in a place where I know people, and where people know me. That's a great feeling.”

One Saturday morning, a walk to the park with her husband and dogs turned into a peaceful moment. They grabbed coffee from a local family’s mobile coffee stand and wandered through the green space under the trees.

“I remember looking at the trees with my coffee in the morning. It just felt very idyllic. I'm living my dream life right now,” Bennett said.

Amenities that invite interaction

The neighborhood amenity center has become a central part of the Bennetts’ routine. From regular visits to the gym and pool to spontaneous pickleball games, the space makes it easy to connect.

Bennett describes weekends and holidays spent playing with family or meeting other residents at the pool. In the evenings, they often spot a regular group playing basketball, or catch a neighbor planning their next pickleball match. Events such as concerts in the park and monthly Bunko nights add to the sense of camaraderie.

“There are a lot of opportunities for connection, and all of the people who live here seem to want to get connected,” Bennett said.

Everyday conveniences

Alongside the community’s natural beauty and top-tier amenities, Bennett notes another standout convenience: her children’s middle school is located right within the neighborhood.

“Last year, taking [my kids] to school only took three minutes,” Bennett said.

It’s also easy to reach parks, trails and future commercial developments planned just minutes away, including a new H-E-B.

Built for belonging

For the Bennetts, Parmer Ranch has proved that the right neighborhood can offer more than a home; it can offer a whole new way of living.
