“During COVID, we ramped up our technological [tools]. We started [offering virtual provider visits],... and it's [become] a great tool to close care gaps for our patients that cannot make it to the office,” Hickey said.
The practice has also completely converted to digital patient records, and they’ve worked closely with vendors to fine-tune tools that support efficiency.
“It’s a great team dynamic where we're always thinking about efficiency,” King said. “We have started using AI tools for documentation. Charting and tasks within our electronic records system are the biggest burdens on providers. We're always looking to leverage technology to help our providers simplify their day.”
In addition to these new technologies, the practice now offers an app-based model that allows patients to easily schedule appointments and access their patient portals.
