Priority Signs & Graphics builds business through service, community connection

For Priority Signs & Graphics, success has always started with relationships. Since opening in 2013, the Southlake-based custom sign company has grown not just through high-end capabilities, but through a deep commitment to customer care and community involvement.

“We have a team of about 30 people and we continue to grow,” co-owner Curtis Horak said. “We’ve always tried our best to take good care of the customer and do good work for them, so we’ve built our business with repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals.”

The company offers everything from interior lobby signs to exterior pole/pylon signs and storefront building signs. From the start of each project, Priority Signs & Graphics takes a consultative approach. Team members meet on-site with clients to understand their goals, walk through design options and educate them on the signage process. Many clients come in unsure of what signage they want, Horak said, and Priority's job is to guide, not just sell. “We walk them through their options and help them with the entire sign design process.”

Once designs are finalized, the team provides detailed proposals, including professional mockups that show exactly how signage will look on the building. That transparency continues through permitting, fabrication and installation, minimizing surprises and ensuring a smooth experience.

Curt explained that once a proposal is finalized, it serves as a detailed guide for the entire project—from permitting to fabrication and installation—ensuring the finished sign matches the client’s expectations.

That reliability has earned Priority Signs & Graphics a strong base of repeat clients, fueling steady growth across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond. But just as important to the Horak’s is giving back to the local community that helped build their business.

The company sponsors several local events and nonprofits, including Art in the Square, Pro-players, Swim for Elise, Miracle League, Kids Matter and the Carroll Education Foundation. Co-owner and Horak’s wife Janice serves on the board of the Southlake Chamber of Commerce and is active with the Southlake Women’s Club.

“One of the things that we really like about our business is that it's really helped us establish our roots and our network within the community,” Horak said.

While Priority Signs offers a full range of signage Horak said their sweet spot is serving businesses that are opening, growing or rebranding.
sign permitting services, complete signage packages, rebranding signage solutions

“A lot of people hear ‘sign company’ and think we just do yard signs or simple jobs,” Horak said. “But our core focus is delivering complete signage packages for businesses, from design to installation.”

Priority Signs & Graphics offers full-service design, fabrication, and installation with a customer-focused approach and in-house expertise. From new business launches to complete rebrands, each project is handled with precision, care, and clear communication from start to finish.
