Michael and Maranda Einstein opened the tasting room in October to share their passion for wine in a welcoming, approachable way. Located at 280 N. Main St. in Grapevine, Winestein’s invites guests to enjoy wine by the glass or flight, and gives them the unique chance to sample wines before buying bottles to take home.
“People really enjoy the experience of getting a chance to talk about wine and understand what they're drinking in the glass,” Michael Einstein said.
Not the typical wine bar
While Winestein’s offers wine flights and hosts tasting events, Michael Einstein said the heart of the business is creating a space where people can simply enjoy a glass of wine with a friend.
“People can come in and taste all kinds of different things,” he said. “You can get a glass of wine, or a flight ...[It’s a] choose your own adventure.”
This laid-back philosophy is central to Winestein’s mission of fostering a warm, inviting atmosphere. What truly sets the experience apart from a traditional wine bar is the ability to sample wines before purchasing bottles to take home, helping guests make confident, informed choices while exploring new varieties. Knowledgeable staff are always available to guide customers through the selection process, offering personalized insights and recommendations.

A club that tastes as good as it sounds
Since its opening, Winestein’s has seen significant growth in its wine club membership. What started with about 10 members has now grown to nearly 40. The club offers a unique experience: members gather at the beginning of each month to taste a selection of about a dozen wines and then choose which bottles they want to take home. This hands-on approach allows members to discover new favorites and expand their wine knowledge.
“We’ve made some tweaks to the program and really found some value for membership and it's been a lot of fun so far,” Michael Einstein said.
The wine club has two tiers of monthly membership, priced at $65 or $85, each including bottles for members to take home. Members also enjoy perks such as discounts on bottle purchases, flights, food and event tickets.
Curated kits for at-home pairings
Thanks to the enthusiastic response to their menu, Winestein’s is now offering several items for sale. Customers can take home favorites like the house-blend nuts, cheese ball, crackers, pickled carrots, smoked tomato salsa and curated meal kits.
Created by Maranda Einstein, the meal kits include all the ingredients—except the protein—along with easy-to-follow instructions and a recommended wine pairing to complete the experience.
With its thoughtful approach to wine, sense of community, and expanding food offerings, Winestein’s Tasting Room truly has something for everyone.
