“We were able to recognize issues immediately and start making changes. Now, we have reached 100% occupancy and have a wait list,” Executive Director Kimberly Pera said. “One thing that has never changed was our focus on kindness and excellence.”

"I compare their experiences to a bag of potato chips. The packaging starts by looking perfect with bright colors, the logo spelled correctly, nutrition information and all four corners intact," Pera said. "Every challenge a resident faces, such as not being able to button their own shirt or go to the bathroom by themselves, is like crushing the bag. The damage isn’t visible, but it’s there. We don’t always see how broken the chips are. Being kind, understanding and patient makes a difference in everything that we do.”
