At The Carlson Law Firm, care is more than a value. It’s their mission in motion. The firm has built a recognizable and trusted brand that stands for compassionate legal representation and a deep commitment to serving their communities both in and out of the courtroom.

“In our firm, the acronym CARE stands for Compassion, Action, Results and Excellence, and it guides everything we do,” said Bill Rossick, The Carlson Law Firm’s North Austin partner. “This commitment to extending compassion to everyone we meet is reflected not only in the way we fight for our clients but also in how we give back to our community.”

In April, Rossick and his team brought joy to local families through their Easter Party with a Purpose. The law firm hosted a cheerful drive-thru event where hundreds of children received Easter baskets filled with goodies, essentials and a little magic.

However, the real magic came from the people behind the scenes.

Rossick and his dedicated team of legal assistants powered the event. They brought the same energy, care and attention to this event as they do to their clients. From organizing supplies to greeting cars with genuine warmth, they embodied what it means to serve with compassion.

Austin lawyer does community drive

Rossick is also a dedicated supporter of the Center for Child Protection and the Kindness Campaign.

Danielle Mott, community outreach coordinator for the firm, plays a vital role in helping their 20 offices with outreach efforts nationwide. Mott was instrumental in ensuring everything ran smoothly. With her passion for creating aesthetically pleasing events and her heart for community, Mott helped turn a simple basket giveaway into a full circle moment of joy for families.

“This event may look simple, but there is a lot of coordination involved,” Mott said. “We filled 250 Easter baskets for local kids in the Austin community.”

The Easter drive wasn’t a one-time event either.

In 2023, the team hosted The Bear Fair, a charming event where children received brand new teddy bears. For generations, teddy bears have been symbols of comfort and care meant to remind them they are never alone.

“One of the highlights of my job is seeing the smiles, the thankful families and the relief parents may feel to know that their child won’t be left out of holiday traditions,” Mott said. “Seeing people relieved of their stress no matter if it’s a legal matter or something as simple as an Easter basket, it’s why we do what we do.”

Together, these events tell a deeper story. They reflect the firm’s commitment to help beyond justice and bring about joy.

“The Carlson Law Firm excels at offering our clients the needed support after an injury,” said Managing Partner Craig Carlson. “But we also believe that delivering excellent legal representation starts with ensuring our communities are well cared for. It’s easy to give away money and call that giving back to your community, but what really counts is meeting people where they are.”

As part of Carlson Cares’ initiative during the firm’s annual Carlson Christmas Miracle, The Carlson Law Firm gave two Texas families free groceries for a year.

“People are struggling, and each day becomes more difficult for the average family,” said Rossick. “Being able to lift even a little of that weight beyond the holidays and year-round means everything. It’s not just about groceries, it’s about reminding families that they aren’t alone when The Carlson Law Firm is nearby.”

At the firm, work doesn’t stop at the courtroom doors. It continues in parking lots turned into celebration stations, in teddy bear handoffs and Easter basket smiles. Their clients see it when they receive settlements or win big in court.

“We’re not just part of the community, we’re working to build it too,” Mott said.

They’re proud of the community they’re building in Austin, and they’re even more proud of the people building it.
