“Music really is the most amazing form of expression and communication,” Meneley said. “Think of the songs that you hear on the radio and how they help you feel things. It's vital. It's so good for your mental and emotional health to help you process things. Music is magic.”
Now, for the first time since 2020, Texas Amps & Axes is bringing its summer camps back on-site—and registration is officially open.
A camp for every student
This year’s lineup includes a wide variety of summer music camps designed to introduce new instruments, enhance technical skills and inspire creative expression. Each camp is tailored by age group and experience level—offering the right mix of structure and fun.

Here’s a look at the 2025 summer camps:
- Keys of Fun Piano Camp: Focuses on piano fundamentals. Ages: 6–9.
- Aloha Strummers Ukulele Camp: Learn basic chords, strumming patterns, and sing-along songs. Ages: 7–10.
- Rockstar Bootcamp: Multi-level experience for beginners to advanced students with full band collaboration and live performance prep. Ages: 8–11.
- Songwriting Camp: Encourages students to explore their creativity and write original music. Ages: 10–14.
- Beat Lab: Audio Music & Production: Hands-on introduction to music production, recording and sound design. Best for students with some musical background. Ages: 13+
- Musikgarten: Mommy-and-me style classes introduce young children to music through movement, rhythm, and melody. Ages: Under 6.
Beyond its wide-variety of summer camp options, Texas Amps & Axes offers one-on-one and group instruction for students of all ages year round.
“We love the customized experience of a private one-on-one lesson,” Meneley said. “It allows you as a teacher to have an opportunity to get to know the student better.”
Alternatively, Meneley said group classes spark a unique kind of engagement, encouraging creativity, and a little healthy goofiness, all while working together toward shared musical goals.
"Sometimes kids just release their inhibitions a little bit more and are willing to challenge themselves or try something new," she said of group classes.
Meneley said the environment at Texas Amps & Axes is what makes it stand out.
“It’s a really unique place,” she said. “We like to call it the “Cheers” of music studios because you come and everybody knows you. That's the family-forward approach that we live and breathe here and what we're known for.

Whether students are new to music or long-time players looking to expand their skills, there's a place for everyone at Texas Amps & Axes. The studio offers classes focused on all instruments except brass and is open to students of all ages.
“You're never too old to start your musical journey,” Meneley said.
Texas Amps & Axes has two locations:
- Prosper campus: 117 W. Broadway St. Prosper
- Celina campus: 695 N. Preston Road, Ste. 115, Celina
