This May, the ICR Discovery Center invites guests to explore the connection between faith and science through hands-on learning, a new planetarium show and more.

ICR aims to provide scientific evidence for biblical accounts through scientific research, conferences, podcasts, a bimonthly magazine, and a faith-based science and earth history museum located at 1830 Royal Lane, Dallas.

"After more than 50 years of ministry, we remain the leader in scientific research within the context of biblical creation," Customer Service Manager Daniel Stringham said.

Discover the connection between faith and science

This month, the museum is hosting several special events:
  • Dollar Day: May 9. Enjoy full access to the Discovery Center’s exhibits and the planetarium show “Mission: Solaris” for just $1. Live science presentations from ICR researchers will also be featured throughout the day.
  • Live Science Presentations: May 9, 11, 13, 27. Meet ICR scientists and hear firsthand how ongoing research continues to affirm the biblical account of creation.
  • Military Appreciation Month: May 1-31. All May long, active-duty service members, veterans, and their immediate families receive 20% off general admission.
  • Memorial Day Discount Day: May 27. Celebrate Memorial Day weekend with discounted admission and live presentations.
A hands-on approach to learning

One of the standout features of the ICR Discovery Center is its interactive exhibits. Visitors can hold and examine preserved fossils, with some displayed next to microscopes for an up-close look at these ancient specimens.

The Discovery Center’s newest planetarium show, “Mission: Solaris,” is designed to provide an engaging exploration of space through a biblical perspective. The show, which is perfect for families and homeschool groups, blends character-driven storytelling with scientific exploration, making it accessible for all ages.

“Children learn foundational concepts that they can build for a lifetime, while students and adults dig deeper into the creation topics and interest in them,” Stringham said.

Year-round educational opportunities

In addition to this month’s events, the ICR Discovery Center offers year-round educational opportunities, including field trips and the Kids on Mission online science club.

Groups of 20 or more can take advantage of discounted rates, making the Discovery Center an excellent destination for Christian schools, homeschool co-ops and church groups. Volunteers are also encouraged to get involved in the center’s ongoing events and programs.
