On April 5, Milestone Church brought together over 6,000 volunteers across its Keller, McKinney and Haslet campuses for its annual Serve Day, completing more than 400 community service projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Serve Day is a yearly initiative where Milestone Church engages in various service projects to positively impact the community. Volunteers serve single moms, widows, seniors, veterans, those experiencing homelessness and families facing financial hardship. In partnership with city officials, teams help clear code violations and address other local needs, while others assist at food pantries, clothing centers and nonprofit organizations across the area.

“It's incredible to be part of a church that gives back to the community,” volunteer J.P. said.

This year, projects included beautification efforts at 114 schools, food drives, grocery giveaways at local Title I campuses and fulfilling Amazon wishlists for teachers. One notable project involved renovating a cottage at Christ’s Haven, a residential facility for children in crisis, to provide a more comfortable living space.

“It is such a gift to these house parents who take care of up to eight kids in their home,” Cassie, the CEO at Christ’s Haven, said. “I’m so excited to see our family in that kitchen.”

Mike, a church volunteer who helped a single mom with home repairs, said it was incredibly rewarding to participate in Serve Day.

“It’s work that couldn’t be done otherwise,” he said. “She could not get this done on her own, nor could she afford to hire someone to do it. It’s our pleasure to be able to come in and do that, and with such a great team it’s happening very quickly.”

Serve Day is part of Milestone Church's broader mission to reach people and build lives, emphasizing the importance of serving the community and demonstrating love through action.
