Embracing the land’s natural beauty
From the start, the development team focused on preserving the land’s history and character, ensuring that the area’s natural charm remained intact.
“[This community] used to be grazing land,” Grant Rollo, Vice President of Randolph Texas Development, said.
Rather than flattening the land to fit a standard development model, the team allowed the landscape to shape the design of the community. The result is a neighborhood that feels organic and connected to its surroundings.
“Keeping the tradition of what Liberty Hill was, and still is able to hold onto, has been massive,” Rollo said. “We didn't just mass-grade everything. There are views everywhere residents go. The streets curve. There are contours.”

Homes tailored to every stage of life
Lariat was designed with long-term living in mind, offering a variety of home sizes and styles so that residents don’t have to leave the community as their needs change. Lariat currently features nine builders, five of which are selling and have model homes open.
The five include:
- Landsea Homes
- Perry Homes
- Ashton Woods Homes
- Tri Pointe Homes
- Chesmar Homes
“Everyone looks for the same thing when it comes to the communities they want to live in, but everyone's idea of a home is different,” Rollo said. “A lot of credit goes to our builders because no one knows what someone wants to buy more than they do. [Our builders] are very complimentary. They’re hitting a niche for every form of buyer. Every home feels special.”

An amenity center designed for community
Lariat’s amenity center was built early in the construction process rather than as an afterthought, reflecting the founders' commitment to creating a community they’d want to call home.
“The amenity center is the pinnacle of the community. Every house that's on these rolling hills sees it,” Rollo said.
The center features a resort-style pool, a covered pavilion with an outdoor kitchen, and an event lawn designed for gatherings, concerts and movie nights. Residents can also enjoy a huge playground, a fishing pond with a pier and a tiered green space for outdoor activities. Additionally, a 7 mile trail system is being built, weaving through the neighborhood and connecting to parks, a creek and eventually the river.
“Our goal is that when kids get home from school and parents get home from work, [instead of] sitting down in front of the TV and watching a show or playing video games, they’ll say, ‘Let's go outside. There's plenty to do right here,’” Rollo said.

While Lariat offers a peaceful, nature-filled escape, it’s also well-connected. The expansion of SH 183 will soon make the commute to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport just 35 minutes. Plus, new retail developments, including Costco and Target, are on the way, making Liberty Hill more convenient than ever.
With new model homes opening soon, the community's early success is setting the stage for even greater growth.
