Bathe, Austin’s upcoming bathhouse, launches social club April 1, brings fresh take on wellness, social connection

Bathe, located in East Austin, is set to launch its private social club, Bathe Society, on April 1. This exclusive bathhouse garden will serve as a private sanctuary for relaxation, connection and curated wellness experiences ahead of Bathe’s full bathhouse debut in spring 2026.

The club will offer members an urban oasis including:
  • Three distinct saunas: dry Finnish, wood-fired and hybrid infrared
  • A heated plunge pool and cold plunges for contrast therapy
  • Lounge areas and social spaces designed to foster meaningful connections
  • Exclusive wellness events, including facilitated classes and wellness day parties with DJs
Memberships are now available, and early founding members will lock in exclusive discounted rates.

A vision of transformation

For co-founder Danyl Magick, Bathe is more than just a business—it’s the realization of a long-held dream. After spending years in corporate America, he took a sabbatical to travel and reassess his path.

“I wanted to stop dreaming and do something,” he said. “Instead of being behind that computer keyboard dreaming, [I thought,] ‘Just do it.’”

Inspired by bathhouses in larger cities such as New York and Los Angeles, he envisioned an elevated yet accessible space where people could unwind, socialize and immerse themselves in a unique, design-forward environment.

His co-founder Lisa Magick, who spent years living as a nomadic van traveler and blogger, found inspiration in the communal energy of natural hot springs.

“On the road, hot springs were the place where people connected,” she said. “That's how we met other people, and that's how we found people in the middle of nowhere. Those were some of the most transformative connections and experiences. After [I got back], I was craving a tribe. I connected with Danyl a month after he decided he wanted to build this bathhouse. The moment I met him, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.”

A glimpse at Bathe’s future

While Bathe Society will introduce members to the social and wellness aspects of the concept, the full bathhouse experience is set to open in spring 2026. This next phase will expand on the foundation of Bathe Society, bringing an immersive indoor-outdoor sanctuary to Austin.

The completed space will feature lush greenery, intricate artistic details and a dystopian bathhouse aesthetic.

“I want people to come into this space and be transported,” Danyl Magick said. “I want their jaws to drop before they even get in the water.”

Beyond wellness, Bathe aims to offer a nightlife alternative for those looking to socialize in a non-alcoholic setting. The space will host DJs, live performances and theatrical experiences, along with a beverage program featuring handcrafted alcohol-free elixirs and gourmet gluten-free waffles from Enchanted Waffles.

Looking ahead

As Bathe grows, the founders hope it will become an Austin institution—a hub for wellness, social connection and transformative experiences.

“I'm so excited to create a space where all of these amazing people in Austin can come together to connect and get to know each other,” Danyl Magick said. “That's why the social club is something that we're so excited about.”
