Healing from within: Pain Specialists of Frisco owner’s approach to pain management, aesthetic wellness

Healing from within: Pain Specialists of Frisco owner’s approach to pain management, aesthetic wellness

Sponsored by: Pain Specialists of Frisco

With advanced treatments and personalized care, Dr. Mahesh Mohan and his team offer patients a path to recovery that not only manages pain but also heals the body from within.

Dr. Mohan owns and operates pain management practice Pain Specialists of Frisco and med spa Rejuvenate Frisco.

What is regenerative medicine?

The goal of regenerative medicine is to offer relief from chronic pain without surgery or pain medication, in addition it also heals injuries, both from sports and wear and tear. Treatment options include bone marrow concentrate therapy(which has stem cells), platelet-rich plasma therapy, and soft-wave therapy. Both PRP and BMC, which have stem cells, are offered through an affiliation with Regenexx.

These technologies boost the body’s natural healing process. Most patients see results over the course of six to 10 weeks with no down time. At Pain Specialists of Frisco, these technologies are used to help patients with sports injuries, arthritis, back pain, neck pain including slipped disc or sciatica and shoulder pain(rotator cuff partial tears).

After seeing positive results, patients began asking Dr. Mohan if regenerative medicine could help with aesthetic concerns as well.

“I was doing PRP for knee and hip pain, and that led to patients requesting this treatment for facial wrinkles,” Dr. Mohan said. “We’ve been doing it for over three years, and patients love it.”

In addition, PRP (P-Shot and O-shot) helps boost sexual function as well. O-shot can also help females with stress or urge incontinence.

Dr. Mohan’s expertise in regenerative medicine creates a seamless connection between pain management and aesthetic treatments. Rejuvenate Frisco offers skin resurfacing, laser treatments for pigmentation issues like melasma, acne treatments and hair removal.

Additionally, Rejuvenate Frisco provides PRP for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration, using the body's natural healing properties to stimulate collagen production and enhance skin vitality.

“These treatments are enhancing somebody's physical and mental well-being and self-image,” Dr. Mohan said. “It all goes together for the community to get the best out of life.”

What makes Rejuvenate Frisco unique?

What sets Rejuvenate Frisco apart from other med spas is its medical expertise and ability to provide a more comfortable experience for patients. Unlike traditional med spas, which rely on topical numbing agents, Dr. Mohan and his team can offer sedation for procedures, ensuring a more relaxed and pain-free experience.

“We have the ability to do sedation, which makes these injections much more tolerable,” Dr. Mohan said. “Most med spas don’t offer that. Patients love it, and we’re happy to provide it.”

Patients at Rejuvenate Frisco benefit from individualized treatment plans that take into account their unique goals, medical history and overall health. The team at both practices is able to provide a personalized experience, going above and beyond to meet patients needs.

“ We are very close as a team,” Dr. Mohan said. “We are able to take care of patients' needs. A lot of our staff even pick up calls even after hours and on Saturdays, so we are able to provide more comprehensive coverage.”
