Set to open this spring, Grand Living at The Grove is redefining senior living in Austin with its LUMINATIONS® memory care program.

Located within The Grove in Austin, this premier senior living community provides independent living, assisted living and memory care in a luxurious setting. Its age-in-place model ensures that residents can remain in their familiar environment even as their needs evolve, offering peace of mind for both residents and their families.

“We are a hospitality-based senior living community, so we focus on resort-style living,” Executive Director Natasha Perez said.

To meet the diverse needs of its residents, the LUMINATIONS program offers two distinct memory care floors:
  • Monarch Lane: a mixed-gender neighborhood that provides structured support in a social and stimulating environment
  • Lavender Lane: a women-only neighborhood designed to create a sense of familiarity, comfort and security
By offering these specialized floors, Grand Living ensures that each resident feels safe and supported.

Unlike many memory care programs that are isolated from the rest of a senior living community, Grand Living at The Grove integrates its LUMINATIONS residents into daily activities with independent and assisted-living residents.

“Our activities change about every half hour to hour, and they include active and passive activities,” Perez said. “Our goal for LUMINATIONS residents is to keep residents active and stimulated throughout the day and retain their sense of independence while in a secured, safe environment.”

Grand Living at The Grove plans to host events such as:
  • Live music performances
  • Book clubs
  • Interactive art classes and woodworking workshops
  • Yoga classes
  • Happy hour
  • Lifelong learning classes
  • Dance lessons
  • Outings to restaurants
  • Bible studies
Grand Living at The Grove also has a Skyview Lounge on the fifth floor, featuring social spaces and stunning views of downtown Austin. This space is designed to bring residents together. Additionally, a Resident Ambassador Program will pair new residents with existing members, helping them integrate into the community and form meaningful relationships.

“Staying connected and having people around you to rely on, keeps you healthier and improves your cognition over time,” Perez said. “ I think that having all the amenities that we do in the community helps stimulate connections between our residents.”

Grand Living offers a flexible, month-to-month rental model. This allows residents to enjoy the community without the financial burden of a long-term commitment.

“Folks want the ability to change their mind if they need to,” Perez said. “They're not locked into a buy-in plan or to a long-term tenancy contract, so that's been another big reason people choose us.”
