Hatchet House Texas offers ultimate axe-throwing experience for all ages, occasions

Sponsored by: Hatchet House Texas

Hatchet House Texas isn’t just another axe-throwing venue; it’s an electrifying experience featuring standard and projected targets, glowing lanes, and interactive games, making it perfect for all ages.

Located at 11946 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress, this glow-themed destination offers a unique setting, ensuring a thrilling time for any occasion.

A variety of games

With a mix of traditional bullseye targets and high-tech projected lanes, Hatchet House Texas takes the thrill of axe throwing to the next level.

"We have five standard axe throwing targets, four projected lanes and a variety of interactive games such as Zombie Hunters, Tic-Tac-Toe and Candy Crush—only with axes," owner Megan Pizzitola said.

For those looking to shake things up even further, there are ninja stars and alternative weapons available for an added challenge, allowing guests to try their hand at throwing something other than axes.

Fun for all ages

Unlike many entertainment venues, Hatchet House caters to all ages.

"Children are welcome to come and have fun too. For kids who aren't old enough to throw, we provide plastic axes so they can join in on the excitement," Pizzitola said.

The venue is also wheelchair accessible, ensuring that everyone, regardless of mobility, can participate in the fun.

Additionally, Hatchet House serves beer and wine for adults looking to unwind while enjoying the experience.

Safety of axe throwing

While axe throwing may seem intimidating, it’s safer than it looks.

The axes are dulled to reduce the risk of injury, and only one person is allowed in a lane at a time. Tape on the ground guides guests to ensure proper stance and safety.

Coaches are always on hand, walking around to offer guidance, assistance and tips, making sure everyone is having fun while staying safe.

The venue also provides rental shoes for guests who forget to bring closed-toe footwear, a crucial part of the safety protocol.

Birthday parties and events

Birthday parties here are a standout feature, designed to be stress-free for parents with exclusive booking, food and drinks included.

“We only book one birthday party at a time, ensuring it's a stress-free experience for both the parents and the guests,” Pizzitola said.

With affordable packages starting at just $199 for up to 10 kids, families can enjoy a unique and fun filled celebration without the usual chaos.

Beyond birthday parties, Hatchet House is a popular destination for one-of-a-kind celebrations and team building events.

“We’ve had divorce parties where people put pictures of their ex on our targets and throw axes at them. We've also hosted gender reveal parties, where you pop a balloon to reveal the baby’s gender,” Pizzitola said. “We are also willing to stay open late or come in when closed to accommodate various events.”

Mobile axe throwing

For those looking to bring the action beyond the venue, Hatchet House offers mobile axe throwing, bringing the thrill to homes, corporate events, weddings or any occasion in need of an adrenaline boost.

“The mobile axe throwing is a giant trailer that we park in the street, a driveway, or even on someone's land if they have space," Pizzitola said. "We have two targets set up, and a coach on staff the whole time to ensure safety and guide everyone."

Upcoming events and leagues

Exciting new developments are on the horizon, including dart leagues beginning within the next month.

One of the biggest upcoming events is the Texas Bullseye Championship, held at Hatchet House and Axe Masters, and hosted by Lone Star Radio.

“From March 14 to May 31, participants will have the chance to compete for a grand prize of up to $5,000,” Pizzitola said. “It costs $125 to enter, and there are 128 spots total.”
