Axe Masters Texas: League City’s go-to spot for thrilling axe throwing, unforgettable events

Axe Masters Texas: League City’s go-to spot for thrilling axe throwing, unforgettable events

Sponsored by: Axe Masters Texas

Located in League City, Axe Masters offers an exciting axe-throwing experience with a Viking-inspired theme. Under new ownership, the venue continues to be a local favorite for fun, competition and camaraderie.

“Axe Masters has been around for six years, and we are the new owners after taking over in February of 2024,” owner Megan Pizzitola said. “We are excited to bring a new energy while keeping it the same place that people know and love.”

More than just axe throwing

Axe Masters features traditional bull’s-eye targets alongside 9 high-tech projected lanes with interactive games, such as Duck Hunter, Zombie Hunter and Line-Up-Four—only with axes. For an added challenge, guests can also try ninja stars and other alternative weapons.

Unlike many entertainment venues, Axe Masters welcomes all ages.

“Children are welcome to come and have fun too. For kids who aren't old enough to throw, we provide plastic axes so they can join in on the excitement,” Pizzitola said.

The venue is also wheelchair accessible, ensuring everyone can participate.

For those looking to add an extra layer of enjoyment, guests can bring their own alcohol for a small fee of $4, creating a relaxed atmosphere for group events.

Events at Axe Masters

Axe Masters offers a versatile space for all types of gatherings, from corporate meetings to birthday parties and everything in between. Private rooms provide a comfortable setting for guests to enjoy food and drinks, while the spacious venue can accommodate up to 100 people.

Birthday parties are a highlight, with affordable packages starting at $199 for up to 10 kids.

The venue also hosts bachelor and bachelorette parties, gender reveals, and even divorce parties.

“We’ve had all sorts of fun events—from popping balloons for gender reveals to throwing axes at pictures of exes,” Pizzitola said. “The goal is always to create a fun and unforgettable experience. We are also willing to stay open late or come in when closed to accommodate various events.”

Safety of axe throwing

Axe Masters prioritizes safety with trained coaches providing instruction and monitoring each session.

“We make sure that people are coached on how to throw the axe properly, and we limit the number of people in each lane,” Pizzitola said.

Dulled axes, clearly marked throwing zones and rental shoes for those without closed-toe footwear all contribute to a safe and enjoyable environment.

Mobile axe throwing

For those looking to bring the action beyond the venue, Axe Masters offers mobile axe throwing, bringing the thrill to homes, corporate events, weddings or any occasion in need of an adrenaline boost.

“The mobile axe throwing is a giant trailer that we park in the street, a driveway or even on someone's land if they have space," Pizzitola said. "We have two targets set up and a coach on staff the whole time to ensure safety and guide everyone."

Upcoming events

One of the biggest upcoming events is the Texas Bullseye Championship, held at Axe Masters and Hatchet House, and hosted by Lone Star Radio.

“From March 14 to May 31, participants will have the chance to compete for a grand prize of up to $5,000,” Pizzitola said. “It costs $125 to enter, and there are 128 spots total.”
