At Cedar Park Premier Dentistry, located at 209 Denali Pass Drive, Ste. B, patient care is about providing top-tier service while building trust and ease from the very first interaction.

“We want to welcome everyone into our dental family,” Neisha Welch, Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator said. “The biggest thing that we focus on is making sure that everyone feels at home and comfortable.”

Many who walk through the doors are dealing with more than just dental concerns. Whether facing complex procedures or struggling with anxiety, patients often need reassurance as much as treatment. The team at Cedar Park Premier Dentistry understands this, making comfort a priority.

“We do extra little things,” Welch said. “We offer nitrous oxide if someone needs it, we have weighted blankets, we've got aroma therapy, eye masks. We do anything and everything that we can to make them more comfortable.”

Beyond comfort, the practice places significant emphasis on patient education. Many individuals are unaware of the long-term impact of oral health or the reasoning behind certain treatments. Welch takes a personalized approach to explaining procedures, ensuring that each patient understands their options and the importance of preventive care. Some patients appreciate an in-depth breakdown of their treatment plans, while others prefer a more high-level overview.

“A lot of patients don't understand treatment. They don’t understand why they would need to come more often for a certain type of cleaning or how the process works,” Welch said. “Whenever I'm planning treatment with a patient, I'll go through the order of the treatment plan, and then I'll ask if they have any questions or need more clarity.”

Cedar Park Premier Dentistry continuously evolves to integrate new advancements in dental care. The shift in orthodontic retention, for example, reflects a deeper understanding of long-term oral health. Whereas patients once received acrylic retainers for short-term use, research now supports full-coverage retainers, which provide better protection against shifting and nighttime grinding.

“When it comes to orthodontic treatment, teeth have muscle memory, so they may relapse if not retained,” Welch said. “We've converted to a full coverage retainer, which the patient will still only wear at night. Having that full coverage retainer helps to ensure the bite in the back is going to stay in the correct position. It also kills two birds with one stone; it keeps their teeth retained, but also protects their teeth from grinding and clenching.”

The practice also utilizes cutting-edge tools like the iTero scanner, which replaces traditional impressions with digital scans, eliminating discomfort while enhancing precision.

“Nine times out of 10, we can get away from those goopy impressions that everyone hates,” Welch said.

Additionally, their in-office milling machine allows for same-day crown placement, reducing the need for multiple appointments and providing a more seamless experience for patients.

For the team, the greatest reward is witnessing patients complete their treatment journeys. Many arrive feeling discouraged and overwhelmed by the extent of their dental needs. Through personalized care and a focus on long-term solutions, the practice helps them regain confidence in both their health and their smiles.

One particularly memorable case involved a young patient who, after a series of diagnoses, felt the weight of her dental challenges. She even apologized to her mother, feeling responsible for her condition. “She was so down on herself, and she would just look at her mom and apologize,” Welch said. “I would tell her, ‘It’s okay. We all have our own story, but you're here, and you're sticking with it.’ She was so anxious in the beginning, but by the end, it was a breeze. She took it like a champ and is now decay free!”

At Cedar Park Premier Dentistry, dentistry isn’t just about procedures; it’s about people. By prioritizing patient comfort, education and the latest advancements, the practice continues to redefine what it means to provide exceptional dental care.

“We just love our patients, and we want everyone to know it,” Welch said.
